Designed for anyone interested in wanting to learn the latest evidence based medical information as it relates to asthma. This teaches epidemiology, basic science, triggers, how to use medications, and care tips for anyone who has been diagnosed with asthma or has a friend or family member with asthma.
This is to empower anyone who wishes to learn more about asthma. The high level scientific information is distilled down so that anyone can take away advanced concepts to better their health.
All medical content was vetted by Dr. Jason K Lee, MD, FRCPC, FAAAAI, board certified specialist in Clinical Immunology and Allergy who is also the section advisor of Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
In collaboration with Dale Mackey, RN, a certified asthma educator who has a wealth of experience working with asthma patients on a daily basis.
The scientific information is explained by Carly Mcgowan an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto who has no medical background but significant experience working with asthma and allergies.
The first half of the app is narrated by Carly Mcgowan who has distilled high level theoretical information. The second part is narrated by Dale Mackey.
